Hair bleach bowl in dishwasher?

Is it safe to put a bowl used for hair bleach in a normal dishwasher load? DD15 seems to remember we did before & it was fine but DH unsure.

I don't know but I have read that bleach in washing machines isn't recommended because it could damage the machine so the same might apply. It could be a very expensive mistake, why not just wash it by hand?
