This is unexpectedly spiky house... Grin

Not my cup of tea but it’s beautifully co-ordinated. And the gardens are lovely. And I really like one of their lamps.

The Hetty Hare one in picture 13? It's from Graham and Green, £135 (but you can get 15% off your first order - I'm such an enabler!)

I love the hedgehog and the garden hare too!

I can’t believe the number of references to animals, both pictures and statues! The hare lamp, bedside beetle, dogs on the stairs, dogs head, fish, snail or snake on bathroom wall (probably not but it must as easily could be!)

Y'know, I had never thought about it before I had a big clear out a few months ago - I'm getting ready to repaint as soon as I can afford it but all, and I mean all, my pictures are of animals and my ornaments are animals.
I have a lot of bird pictures, animals on cushions (not any animal prints)

...Oh, I tell a lie, I have some tree pictures in the kitchen. I wonder what that says about me? I hope that it's nice.

BunnyLake · 13/11/2024 19:53

Gorgeous house. I think I’d rather enjoy seeing that cute hedgehog every morning.

DINSDALE

🤣 That was my reaction!

SiobhanSharpe · 13/11/2024 19:59

I think someone must work at St Tiggywinkles.

I love it, and the hedgehog would definitely stay!

You’d never feel alone there with that hedgehog. I’d name it and probably end up chatting to it like I do my dog. I’d love to know what my dog would make of it. I definitely wouldn’t remove it.

🤣 That was my reaction!

Glad it's not just me!

SiobhanSharpe · 13/11/2024 20:03

The dung beetle gave me pause for thought.

Nikitaspearlearring · 13/11/2024 20:05

Definitely an MNer because they have twigs (and possibly pebbly shit) in the fireplace.

Ichibangerbera · 13/11/2024 20:08

Bloody students.

I'd keep him.

soupfiend · 13/11/2024 20:18

I dont normally like new builds but its lovely

Terrible location unfortunately.

soupfiend · 13/11/2024 20:20

I also like the fact that they have a proper wood burner.

OohThatCat · 13/11/2024 20:23

Ohh I love the garden hare! I actually also love that hedgehog’s happy little face, he’d make me smile every morning 😀

TooTiredToType77 · 13/11/2024 20:33

Quite like it. Rather jealous if the goose foot lamp is a 'real' one from Porta Romana...they cost around £3k! It would be the first thing I'd buy if I won the lottery 😍

Appalonia · 13/11/2024 20:33

Love that house! The hedgehog was a bit of a shock tho. I used to have a DP who lived near Towcester, thought it was a lovely area, beautiful little villages and countryside.

And that hedgehog reminded me of a painting we did in my Art class 😁

Glad it's not just me!

I had a Biology teacher who had a thing for the little critter - he'd be the answer to at least one question every test Grin

TheRealSlimShandy · 13/11/2024 21:33

Awww I wouldn’t be able to paint over his little face, so would live with the hedgehog until he peels off the wall.

ObieJoyful · 13/11/2024 21:35

I was very disappointed in the house, until he appeared! 😃

PalmLady · 13/11/2024 21:49

I love it. It's an African pygmy hedgehog, so sweet.

TeenLifeMum · 13/11/2024 21:52

I think I’d keep it and call him Gerald. I can imagine myself going to make coffee and having a full conversation with my giant hedgehog (I have 3 teens and may have lost my mind but this all seems quite a nice made up life I’m picturing).

I’m not that tasteful I’m afraid. It’s the one with the feathers, underneath the air con in picture 18. But you are my kind of enabler, I’m loving your work! 😊

Love it, don't want to live in NN12

Why? Just curious.

Feelingstrange2 · 13/11/2024 22:01

Would you expect the hare to be left behind on sale, or taken?

GetOffTheCounter · 13/11/2024 22:04

Oh i love that house.

I live in an old Victorian crumbling semi that has the original sash windows and draughts and the original wood floors and turkish rugs and brown furniture and all of DH's inherited crap in it plus alot of crap he bought himself.

I'd love clean, clear, fresh and with cute hedggie pics in it.
