19/20 at last, but the candy striped barbershop quartet has me stumped!
Help, PLEASE

The Angel is human and young, title is like a self help book.
The book is on the Waterstones best seller list and the cover has red string all across it.

Kicking myself for not getting this one until I read your clue! I have this book!

maverickfox · 14/11/2024 13:28

I’ve got them all apart from the child with the animals.

You have one word but where are they from?

I’ve got them all apart from the child with the animals.

Very well regarded children's author with non British name

LadyR77 · 14/11/2024 13:32

Got them all finally - the barbershop one had me completely stumped for ages!

Not David Walliams, then😂

I made a mess of that.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 14/11/2024 13:33

Comedy table: so if it's not 'Man Walks into a Bar' or 'Man Walks into a Pub' or 'Stop Me if You've heard This One'... what is it?

IdgieThreadgoodeIsMyHeroine · 14/11/2024 13:34

outofideas2 · 14/11/2024 13:15

I've still got the vampire/Dracula and the camera one to go...any clues, please?

You already got one of them 😂

What does it say on the camera?

Thank you, I got it and that is clearly not a flamingo.

BlueEyeshadow · 14/11/2024 13:36

How is the Sherlock one not The Hound of the Baskervilles? And I'm stumped by the angel. Got the rest now!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 14/11/2024 13:36

I've just twigged that the clock is a clue

The colour is important.

Where is the man? What colour is it?

Clock
Ghost

Got them all apart from the dripping table, could I have a hint please and thank you

It's a key ingredient in baking and a recent hit

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 14/11/2024 13:39

@Evenstar

Can I get the clock off you?

IdgieThreadgoodeIsMyHeroine · 14/11/2024 13:40

I've got soldier, comedy and ghost left. None of the clues for comedy have helped me so far!

IdgieThreadgoodeIsMyHeroine · 14/11/2024 13:41

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 14/11/2024 13:39

@Evenstar

Can I get the clock off you?

Part of the clock is a specific colour. Hint: if they'd tried doing this clue any other way, they'd have been highly racist!

Evenstar · 14/11/2024 13:43

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit think of the colour and another name for a clock dial, all one word

EveryKneeShallBow · 14/11/2024 13:44

Stuck on the poster. Tried variations on the title of a Victoria Wood Song, but clearly not it. Clue, please!

Elliania · 14/11/2024 13:45

I'm still stuck on 4:

The man reading at a desk - I thought I had it with the colour of the place he was but it didn't take
The singer dressed as a bee
The workshop poster
The barbershop quartet

IdgieThreadgoodeIsMyHeroine · 14/11/2024 13:45

Stuck on the poster. Tried variations on the title of a Victoria Wood Song, but clearly not it. Clue, please!

It's the name of an autobiography by a female comedian, but it's also a phrase to describe the sort of woman often lacking in fiction, especially that written by men.

Nousernameforme · 14/11/2024 13:46

The only way I got the poster was by goggling female comedian autobiography and the words on the poster
