i had a debt from years ago in 2016 for under 2k (vodaphone long story) I was silly getting this debt but hey ho. Ended up getting a CCJ i was 18 at the time and had no idea what this even meant no one ever taught me about this stuff. Anyway I began to pay it all off and I know I paid this off a couple of years ago I was inputting sums I could afford monthly sometimes £400 a month just to get it paid off. Anyway during this the companies Lowell and overdale began to pass the debt back and forth between them. However this was all paid and I know I paid the last payments. Up until now I’m receiving letters that I still owe £50 as the debt has no been passed back to Lowell. I deleted all correspondence as i cleared out my emails and as I paid this off years, thought no reason to keep those. I spoke to them and I asked the last payment which was £128.56 and I stated this was clearly the remaining balance because I would never choose to pay such an odd number I would round it up. Just need some advice on what to do as it’s tricky between two people? I feel as though I’m being scammed and it’s a clever trick to be passing the debt back and forth as it has confused me on who I paid what to.
