Rivals without riders first? Buying dd books?

Does she need riders first or can / should I just buy her rivals?

I would say DEF Riders first... You get to know all the characters....

Rivals makes sense on its own, but would definitely read Riders first. As pp says it introduces the characters and is a great read. I remember as a teenager reading Riders over a weekend, I couldn’t put it down, Riders first, then Rivals, then Polo. What a treat😀
