I listed something on the Facebook marketplace place and someone took a direct interest.
They alleged sent me the amount from their
business account but email said my account needs to be upgraded to receive the amount so the buyer sent an extra £300 to secure but I would need to transfer that £300 back.
To make matters worse, when I looked at the email it was from Gmail.
I contacted the bank they were using for these alleged scams and have sent the information to be further investigation.
I hate that I almost got scammed. How far can these scammers go if they don't receive the amount ? I stupidly sent them my partial address not directly to my door but quickly unsent it.
