Wars and male violence

I have noticed many threads here about aggressive male partners/sons. Obviously on this forum our view is skewed about how common this is because it's those with problems that post.
But I wonder if males with aggressive tendencies are more inclined to go to war - to volunteer - and possibly be killed. So if there hasn't been a major war for a while does domestic and civil violence increase overall? Have there been any studies?

No, they're all mouth and trousers. They abuse women because they're not real men. They'd run away like scared rats if they ever encountered a real combat situation.
