Experiences of DHs/DPs on steroids?

I'm looking for some experiences from women whose partners/husbands have previously taken steroids, and whether there were any significant changes in behaviour/personality, please?

Steroids for muscle as opposed to steroids from the doctor?

The term 'roid rage' exists for a reason....and it makes their balls shrink.

Nobody with more than 6 brain cells would choose to take them.

StormingNorman · 04/11/2024 18:26

Roid rage is real. Short-tempered, aggressive and often an arrogance and superiority as the muscles come in.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 04/11/2024 18:28

Very effective substances.

Gives them the strength to pick you up by the throat whilst your children and the dog cower in the next room - all because you put yourself between them, a leather belt being undone and a stroppy two year old.

On the bright side, though, the rate of muscular growth did cause him to tear a hole in the pleural membrane so he got the excruciating pain of a pneumothorax and a pissed off looking doctor ramming a cannula between his ribs to release the air that was causing his lung to collapse. Made me feel better when I heard about it, anyhow.

Ending up in A&E with cardiac arrest in your early 20s being told exertion ever again cold kill you.

My husband is medically trained so not daft enough to go down this route. We’ve told our teenage son that it has ramifications on male genitalia, to stop him ever going there. Apparently it causes ED, hardly the big powerful man eh? Plus roid rage is a thing, I’d do whatever you can to stop your husband using this.

Loads of guys on peds usually strange micro penis types.

BodyKeepingScore · 04/11/2024 18:58

My father took steroids when I was growing up. It turned him into an ill tempered, aggressive wanker. Not only that but he was absolutely fixated on his appearance.

I have also dated a couple of men who turned out to be using, as others have said... micro penis. Which probably contributes to the ill temper.

Be under no illusions, steroid use is illegal without a prescription. Your partner/DH is a drug user if he chooses to use them.

GiddyRobin · 04/11/2024 19:36

Not my DH (he'll waggle a sword at you but there's no muscle flexing 😂), but there's a bloke in my village who does them. Absolute twat, racist and sexist to boot...

Anyway, he's one angry man. Probably angry before he started the steroids (he's a professional bodybuilder), but holy fuck. He shouts at kids, shopkeepers, AND as others have said - I think he's got issues in his trouser department. Christmas party in the pub a few years ago, one chap made a joke about it and this guy absolutely flew off the handle. His wife was beetroot red.

I also think he looks disgusting. Horrible veins all over him and he walks around in a vest in the snow. 🤢

Two men in dhs family take them. His uncle and one of the sons. It was the father who got his son on them.

Short tempered and aggressive. Had to attend a funeral with them recently and they were moaning about the "weak" men struggling to lift the coffin alongside them. They're also the most vain people I've ever met, turkey teeth and one was injecting some tanning stuff at one point too. Posters and very very arrogant and think they're like Andrew Tate types.

The son got married earlier this year and his bride was battered and bruised the day after as he lost his temper over her talking to another male guest. The uncles marriage has been under lots of strain and they've separated many a time. Hes cheated a few times and thinks "bitches" can't get enough of his body and money (and he brags about his money as much as he brags about his body)

Oh and the son is also into cane corso breeding and sells weed too. He has three massive aggressive dogs that he thinks are "big softies"

They sound... well, thankfully DH is absolutely nothing like that.
