Trivial - mash or roasted baby potatoes with this dinner?

As an accompaniment to stew and dumplings

Yes I know it’s double carbs but I’m pregnant so it’s allowed 😄

Can’t make up my mind and need to head into the shop soon.

Devilsmommy · 04/11/2024 14:15

Definitely mash or both if you really can't decide 😂 as you said you're pregnant so it's definitely allowed😉

I've never had either come to think of it, only because there's already potatoes in our stew. For this reason, we have buttered crusty bread with it.

DoublePeonies · 04/11/2024 14:18

Mash of your options.
But actually, double dumplings would be even better.

I voted roasted baby potatoes - if you have mash you'll have two blobs of whiteness on the same plate!.

shellyleppard · 04/11/2024 14:21

Definitely mash and crusty bread too 😋

Mumistiredzzzz · 04/11/2024 14:22

Mash definitely!

dizzydizzydizzy · 04/11/2024 14:22

Mash! I think it's unanimous so far. Please post a picture of your finished stew and mash on your plate.

DramaAlpaca · 04/11/2024 14:25

Mash, for sure.

Singleandproud · 04/11/2024 14:27

Use the dumpling mixture as a top layer (instead of rolling into balls) like you would mash on a cottage pie

I would have had the baby potatoes in the stew already but good, creamy mash always makes the world a better place.
