Where can I buy "proper jeans"?

My DS has said he would like some for Christmas. Pure denim ones, not like the ones you get from normal shops. Where is the best place to get them from?

My immediate thought would be the Levi website, but I’m not really sure what you’re after.

You can’t go wrong with Levi’s. I’ve had mine for years

Levi's!

Depending on budget:

HUIT
Edwin
Blackhorse Atelier
Nudie

All good quality brands.

By pure denim he probably means Japanese Selvedge - the dark blue stiff material. It takes a while to break in but they last a long time.

Do not wash them much and then only cold water!

I'd go for Levis too

Well I've been looking tonight and they seem a nightmare to buy, you can't get them in many sizes.

When I've been to charity shops, I've seen Levi's... would he be adverse to wearing "pre-loved"?
You could also try vintage emporiums, they often sell used Levi's (as well as other clothing), again it depends on his view of new or used.
