Ticketmaster help - too slow to buy tickets?

DS asked me to buy him tickets for something, sale starting this morning. I was logged in etc when the sale started at 10, in queue for seconds, then released to buy tickets. I had to get 3 tickets because DS and friend are under 16. I was on a laptop.

There were loads of tickets to begin with but every time I selected 3 then proceeded to checkout, I got a "unfortunately we were unable to reserve your chosen seats".

I must've selected around 20 different sets of 3 tickets. Every time losing out. What is the answer to securing them? (I guess whoever else was quicker at selecting then checking out but I thought I was pretty quick.) The only way I could've been milliseconds quicker would have been to use a proper mouse rather than a touchpad mouse thing.

I've lost out now - it had sold out in around 15 mins- but for the next one?! Any hints would be great if possible?

Ahh Tyler the Creator! I had the same issue… got in the queue about 10.04am (cause I forgot opps) but quickly through to buy then couldn’t secure tickets as it kept saying the same! It was a faff and I’ve never booked at 02 before so didn’t know if it was me?

managed to get a couple up in the nose bleeds so probs aren’t great tickets but the atmosphere will hopefully make up for it! Paid more for these than my Eras tickets in August 🤔

Yes @Monstermissy36 ! This was for Glasgow though, he's only doing one night.

Pleased you got tickets! Gutted for my DS. Can see now there are o2 priority presale tickets available in London but with travel, hotel etc that would really be out of budget.

I have since read a reddit thread with tips on it. It says go for the middle of a block, not the "best" seats in that block (which of course I was doing), shut all other tabs and internet using apps (though I don't think my laptop is particularly slow, and also save a payment method - though I didn't even get that far. Sigh. I will try to be better next time. Thanks for replying and enjoy!

I gather you had to select individual seats? That's a nightmare system. It usually works OK when they select the seats for you from a specified prie.

He's just announced extra nights.
There's no secret, you just log in and pray to the ticket gods!
Or, buy resapes on Twickets, there'll be loads bearer the tune.

Yep - maybe there was another way of doing it but I was clicking on individual seats like when you book cinema tickets. It feels a bit slow. Trouble is, you can't practice on Ticketmaster. It is always a high pressure situation. (Actually maybe I will practice on something no-one wants and see if I at least get to the payment stage. )

OP, same here. He just added more dates. Loads of tickets now. It's a bloody scam. Again. I now have 6 tickets over two nights. Only need 4. So annoyed with ticketmaster. again

Also, I'm sure they deliberately turn off "best available" for these big shows, so we all flail around and pay waaaaay more than we ever planned because we feel "grateful" we got any ticket. Still fuming!

Oh no. Are they all London o2? Yes the tickets I swear were going up as I was looking for the same sections. Not to ridiculous levels but still. Especially with youngsters where you're buying another ticket for someone (adult) who doesn't really want to go anyway. I'd never heard of Tyler the Creator.

I think it's because of streaming, artists/record companies now make all their money from concerts rather than album sales. It still seems exorbitant and scammy. Hope you can sell on your excess tickets.

More tickets? Oh I should have waited didn’t get great seats this morning and would look again but it said they couldn’t be resold? Does anyone know if this means at all on anywhere or only on Ticketmaster/tickets etc

@Monstermissy36 should be possible closer to the time, on ticketmaster or twickets.
