Jo Malone, worth the price tag?

I was perusing in Jo Malone yesterday and really liked the Nectarine blossom & honey perfume. It's my birthday coming up and I'm tempted. Does anyone have this one and does it last a while once sprayed?? I don't want to waste money if you can only smell it for a short amount of time.....

oh I used to love wood sage and sea salt - has it changed/become weaker?

I bought a huge bottle about 3 years ago. Ran out and wanted to buy it again. Thought I'd check I still liked it and sprayed it. Didn't last a couple of minutes on me 😞I'm finding the same with other expensive brands. Most don't have the staying power they used to 😞

Last week I got one of the townhouse candles (Wild Berry & Bramble) and some Orange Bitters cologne.

Couldn't smell the candle in one room with a closed door after burning it for about 2 hours.
That's a £100 candle that smells less than one from Tesco for a fiver.

It wasn't just me, nobody could detect I'd even burned a scented candle.

As for the Orange Bitters cologne, it's smells gorgeous for up to half an hour or so if you pile it on, but after that the best you get is the slightest hint from time to time you used to be wearing perfume.
Nobody else can smell it either.

Came with a teeny bottle of Hinoki & Cedarwood which is fairly masculine and that did have some staying power.
I gave it to my son.

Due to the massive let down on the candle & Orange cologne though, I'll never buy anything from Jo Malone again.

Such a pity - as sea salt and wood sage is my favourite smell I hope there'll be a stronger version made.

I wear poppy and barley which I love. But, it lasts about an hour and isn't worth the money.

I also like myrrh and tonks which does last better.

I have a Dior perfume that someone commented on a few hours after I put it on. Maybe splash out on one of those? I didn't buy it, luckily it was a gift 🤣

I used some pomegranate noir hand cream at the hairdressers a few weeks ago, and was getting a headache from the scent about 2 hours later. I washed my hands repeatedly, even using washing up liquid in desperation and that smell would NOT shift. Never again, it was so heady and overpowering it made me feel really unwell. So if you want staying power, use the hand stuff!

The essence vault dupes are really good, I got the JM peony scent dupe and it lasts for two days!

In my opinion much too expensive. The cologne doesn’t last for more than half an hour and is more expensive than an eau de parfum. However the scent in the moisturiser lasts longer.

Used to be great years ago. Perfume doesn't last anymore 😔

That was my signature fragrance years ago. Unfortunately it's changed and lasts nowhere near as long anymore 😭

Not worth it any more - Jo Loves is better for staying power, but Santa Maria Novella is the absolute business if you actually want to still smell it after a few hours. (So pleased that a pp also recommended SMN!!)

Pomelo lovely but agree they dont last. Zara have some fab ones with Jo. I feel she overpriced now if the scent doesnt last

Not for me, it’s not. But each to their own. 👍
