What teapot should I buy (never owned one)!

Following from my previous (and very successful!!!) post, I have decided to purchase my first ever teapot.
There are plenty I like online but want to make sure it’s also functional, easy to use and clean etc and ideally I would like one with a strainer so I can use it for loose leaf tea.
Any suggestions?
It’s just two of us and I would mainly use it for myself and DH but I guess I’d also like to use it when I have guests, would I need two sizes?

Maybe a 4-6 cup size. You can just make less in it for two.

I favour pottery above glass or metal, but whatever you get look for a spout with a pointed end rather than rounded. Less chance of drips, pours better.

I don't know if you go in charity shops OP but in the past I've bought some great tea pots there. And there's usually a good selection in the charity shops round here. Really beautiful and unusual.
I always buy china ones.

Ours came from amazon. Ceramic with a strainer that fits in the top. Leave it to infuse and lift the strainer out when it's the right strength for you. No issue with loose tea.

Another vote for charity shop. Unique designs and decent prices for quality china ones.

Can't beat a Denby teapot in Homestead Brown, i.e. a Brown Betty/Rockingham. They also came in a pale sage colour. Mine came from charity shops. Be sure to buy a tea cosy too - they do make a difference!
