Cakes for delivery - any experience with CakerStreet or The Cake Store?

Hi All. I’m looking for a cake for DC’s birthday party that can be delivered to SW London. Used Lola’s last year which was great, but they don’t have the particular theme I’m after this year.

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) of either CakerStreet or The Cake Store?

I have used cakerstreet and their cakes are good -very homemade in taste and flavour and not OTT on cream/sugar. Not very 'grand' either so depends on what you like.

The only negative is that they deliver with a LOT of packaging which took me ages to get rid of and loads of thermocol which is terrible for the environment. Just for this reason I have switched to cake box so I can have all the joys of cake in a simple cardboard box as it can be collected locally.
