Can you still PM somebody after a name change?

I've just sent another Mumsnetter a PM, as I found a post from 4 years ago regarding a specific thing I'd like advice on and saw she'd been through the same thing.

I'm aware this Mumsnetter might have name changed in those 4 years. I would like to know if she will still receive my message if she's now using a different username. Can anybody advise?

Yep. I’ve received messages to older usernames, and when I respond, it responds with that username rather than the one I’m currently using.

Yes, I name changed a few years back and received a pm from a post under an older name- it automatically picked the old name for the reply too so I didnt have to remember to swap.
