Stockings and suspenders- help!

Never worn this type of underwear and I'm in need of some direction. Can you buy any stockings to use the clip on suspender belt or does it need to be designed for it?

You just need any stockings that aren’t “hold ups” - the “sticky” stuff on hold ups makes it tricky to attach a suspender belt.

Mind you, my DH finds nice underwear and lace top hold ups sexier than a suspender belt.

You can attach those belts to either type, but with the sticky hold ups, it would just be for show.

If you're using a belt, then the top bits of the suspenders dig in less if you size up. The ones with the sticky bit can dig in and give you a bit of a bulge on the thigh.

just go hold ups. the magic will happen!! No need for the harness.

It was such a relief when tights came in(round about the mini-skirt arrival) I always hated suspenders and stockings. Does anyone remember roll-ons?

Something like that looks ideal!

The clips are a bit fiddly so you might want to practice before you actually get them on. Or actually clip them in the right place first and then put them on. Trying to clip them at the back while they're on can get interesting!

Now I'm trying to find a matching set that I like. Completely lost in underwear. Why don't they show just a picture of the back and front straight on!

Put your knickers on over the top, then you can still go to the loo!

Knickers? Sounds likely they aren't that necessary on this occasion...

@tryingtobenaughty the hold ups don't hold up very well if you are generous of figure...... I used to constantly be pulling them back up 🤣🤣

Crotchless could be an option too. If you aren't anywhere draughty.

Suspender belts are sooo fiddly. How about Suspender tights? Something like this?

Go for quality. Otherwise the clips won't stay done up. M and S tend to function well and are comfortable to wear. Le Bourget stockings are lovely to wear and worth the extra expense.

You HAVE to have pants over the top. Otherwise it doesn't work!

I'm also too chubby of thigh for the hold-ups. They just roll down to my knees. Shame.

Snag do "mock garter" tights which are very practical and good for a subtle surprise if you plan to wear any of this out of the house.

I just put the knickers over the top. Or wear crotchless ones. 😘

Personally I prefer my gf in a full set so to speak, I know my bf does too.

Plus if you're going out first not everyone wants to be fancy free in a restaurant 😂

Don't get one of those really skimpy suspender belts. Go for something a bit wider for more comfort.

I am skinny to normal build, and holdups have never stayed up on me - can’t even walk to the bus stop without them coming down.

I'm a fan of the mock garters when we go to events and things because it's way less fiddly. But it's not quite the same image as a set with holdups

You lot are great! Definitely knickers over the top then.

I like the tight suspenders they look cute, but doing the proper ones this time.

And I'll avoid hold ups as constant yoinking up isn't that sexy

Would check out Ann summers. I get all mine from there and they usually half buy 1 get one half price on stockings. Get the suspender belt/sets from there too so they all fit together
