Vanity got the better of me

Last night we were going to a party.
For the last 8 years I've worn either wedges or trainers.
DH told me to wear the wedges.
Did I listen NO I wore smart heels and fell off the step outside our
house and broke my ankle.

Has anyone else not listened to good advice.

Oh I sympathise OP!
I broke my ankle seven weeks ago and I'm still in the process of trying to walk properly again after my fall.
For what it's worth my accident was a lot more stupid than you wearing a pair of shoes that you understandably wanted to wear.
Good luck with you recovery road OP.

Thank you @Scutterbug @Alwayssomethingtheretoremindme
I could understand if I'd had a drink but to not even get to the party.
DH has stopped himself from saying I told you to wear the wedges
but I know that's what he's thinking.
Hope you're recovery goes well.

This is bad news. I just defended DD from my mum when she said something about DD breaking her ankle wearing heels. I said it doesn't happen - sounds like I'm wrong!

Hope you heal quickly OP.
