Fab Vinted coat reeks of perfume

Will dry cleaning do the trick? Sticking it in the shed + sunlight? Other ideas please? It's a pale pink princess coat in a cheap 'tweed' with a cream faux fur collar and I bloody love it.

Get a dog to roll around on it/sleep on it for a couple of days. Sorted.

Everything stinks of perfume from Vinted , I open the parcel and straight in the machine!

Dry cleaning will sort it out.

I would just machine wash on 30 or 40 using Laundry sanitizer- dettol one or an own brand supermarket one

I recently bought a lovely fake fur one from Vinted, but it stinks something rotten. Sadly not of perfume. It’s a quite unpleasant smell. The label says dry clean only, so it is going off to the dry cleaners!

I never take anything to the dry cleaners. Even if the label says ' dry clean only ' it goes in the machine on the hand wash cycle. Never had a problem.

Thanks all! My dog would dearly love to hump it.

I’d agree with this for everything that isn’t fluffy or fur!

Sounds mad but I'm told spraying with vodka is how ballet and theatre companies deal with costumes that can't be washed between performances / aren't machine washable.

Haven't actually tried it myself but have a few things that fit that category that I don't really want to take to dry cleaner so might have to try!

Do you have a tumble dryer with a refresh setting? Usually does 15 minutes on a low temperature. Put in some used dryer sheets and it might leech the smell out a bit.
