Please bear with me on this, I know its ott.
I have a 4 year old who I obviously love very much but sometimes I get these overwhelming feelings about her, literally like I love her so much I cant bear it.
Its a really painful & anxious feeling, not cosy & pleasant.
Ive just had to go into her room (she's sleeping) & sort of smell her face & neck because had such a strong urge to.
Can anyone relate to this? Does it subside abit as they get older?

Yeah I went through this after very severe PND & PN Anxiety (after ante natal anxiety too). I put it down to irrational feelings of guilt. Not that it was my fault but....that's what we do, isn't it? Feel guilt! Regardless of blame or fault.

Anyway, I still feel occasionally now and she's 9. I think it's relatively normal. Probably egged on by hormones and regular anxiety. Not to mention the whole being a parent anxiety as well! It's allllll anxiety, that's my take.

When I say relatively normal I do mean to emphasise the relatively there. Perhaps a bit more inflamed in our cases but u don't think it's abnormal.
