How much do you contribute to workplace collections?

At my workplace it feels that we constantly have collections - staff leaving, birthdays, illness etc.
At my workplace everyone puts in £5 which I think is a bit much especially with the amount that we do.

Only for people leaving. We don’t do birthdays, illness or babies.

We don't have them, we mostly WFH

50p - £1. Soon adds up to a decent £20/30 for a gift voucher or some such if everyone puts in a small amount!

if it were a particularly close friend I’d buy them a gift from me and skip the collection

We don't do birthdays, only baby births, weddings etc. I usually put in between 5 and 10 dependent how well I know them.

I never do.

The organisation I currently work for has a ridiculously high staff turnover and is quite toxic, so I am not wasting my money on anyone...
