I own a cafe, we're next door to a sheltered accommodation facility and have quite a few elderly customers. One particular group of 4 ladies come in at least once a day and they have obviously ended up getting to know other regular customers. A man has been coming with his daughter for 2 and a half years, the dd is now about 3, and these ladies have always been so sweet with the little girl, making a fuss, giving her the odd pound etc and now she runs to them for a cuddle. Yesterday they were all in and the guy put £50 in the till to pay for the ladies as a gesture of appreciation. He didn't want me to tell them until he'd left, but the ladies were blown away, and so moved by his generosity ❤️
Just a heartwarming tale to remind us that when we think we're surrounded by entitlement and selfishness, there are so many lovely kind people still around
