Whats the deal with passport bros?

Saw a thing on yourtube about men going overseas to meet women from much poorer countries like the whole russian bride thing that was popular after the fall of the soviet union. Seems to be either young guys or older men who are divorced.

I googled and looked at the reddit forum and it was so gross. Men in their 50's and 60's discussing where to go to meet the most desperate young women who will be impressed enough if you spend a few pounds on them to sleep with them. Discussing "is Thailand or Vietnam better for easy sex with young women", "don't go to the Philippines as the women there are gold diggers" and will withhold sex until the get monetary gifts.

They were raving about how wonderful it is to have young women be so into them and keen to meet them. Its so disgusting. Don't these men understand that these women are not interested in them and are probably chocking down the vomit when they are being intimate with them. I'd hate to think a person I was sleeping with was disgusted by me and just with me for money.

I suppose with these men they absolutely don't see women as people but objects and only care about how they themselves feel and the service they get. Its really disgustingly masturbatory and deeply exploitative. I used to always think men would want a real female partner and that the so called sex robots of the future would only be used by a few men but I think their would be a big market for them, lots of men would love a stepford wife who cooked, cleaned and was always sexually available to them. This isn't to say these women the so called passport bros exploit are like robots but this is clearly how these men view them.

It's been ever thus.

I did my dissertation on sex tourism and I interviewed some men and their lack of embarrassment was astounding.

@FusilliGerri sounds interesting although I can imagine that researching that didn’t do much for your image of men!
