Shopping for teen - Glasgow or Edinburgh

We're going to Scotland to drop DC1 at a thing. DC2 and I will have a day to kill in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. She wants to shop and choose some things for her birthday. Which is better for fashion, beauty etc? She is very mainstream in her tastes, and loves a beauty hall most of all. Thanks!

Edinburgh st James quarter

Hmm I’d actually say Glasgow is better for clothes shopping etc.
obviously Edinburgh is the capital and it’s beautiful. But Glasgow I prefer. And for restaurants- there’s so many nice ones. Pizza Punks and all the restaurants across the road from that.

Edinburgh St James Quarter has a Harrods Beauty as well as lots of clothes shops that appeal to teens

Stick to st James quarter, all under one roof, safe from the Scottish weather.

Super, thanks all! I've had a look and that's probably up her street.
