Talcum powder at the gym?

I always shower at the gym after a workout and at home I'd usually use talc but it feels slightly selfish to be spreading it on the floor a bit in a communal space. What do others do?

We are asked not to use talc at my gym as it makes such a mess and the people who use talc don't clean it up.

Stand on a towel while you put in the talc, then you won’t make a mess.

Hasnt that stuff been banned as a carcinogen?!

You can get liquid talc in a tube - why not try that. It might help people to make suggestions if you said what purpose the talc is serving.

I'd be naffed off with someone using talc. When it gets wet it goes really claggy and will stick to other people's stuff. I don't think standing on a towel would help.

I thought that

Cornstarch has now replaced 'talc' in most powders and is not a carcinogen. People just still use the word - like hoover for vacuum cleaner.

However, it would always be a good idea to check as I'm not sure talc itself is actually banned in these products.
