My kids and I will be staying in Lewes on the night of Halloween. Is going trick or treating in residential areas popular? Just wondering if it is and if houses put pumpkins outside their doors if they are open to trick or treaters.
or if the shops in the town centre do anything special?
It's a big thing where I live - endless stream of kids in fancy dress ringing the doorbell - and don’t want to assume it’s like that everywhere.
