I'm absolutely gutted, we've got Lapland Uk booked but just found out it's my ds school nativity on the same day.

Is there any way of swapping dates with someone? We have 11th December 2 adults 1 child and I'll happily take any other date other than 11/12!

That is the risk of booking things on school days in December - a lot of events take place in UK primary schools. There'll probably also be a class Christmas party. Possibly a carol service. And they will need to rehearse a lot in the days leading up to the play so it would be best not to take him out on at least the 9th and 10th as well.

Oh dear, haven't you seen the annual horror stories about Lapland?

What horror stories? We went last year and the year before and it was amazing. I don’t know anyone who didn’t love it there - are you thinking of somewhere else?

OP why did you book it on a school day - or is it nursery where attendance isn’t so strict? Hopefully you will be able to swap with someone.

The 11th is week day though isn't it? So a school day? If it's a school day you do risk them missing out on things... especially at Christmas time when there's lots going on!

I have tickets for the following week actually but I'm afraid I can't swap as my kids will be in school...

Oh yeh, to be fair that's a good point. If it's nursery rather than school, than that's fair enough and just unlucky.

Also, OP, go on the LaplandUK fans' Facebook pages... you might have some luck swapping on there. Just beware of being scammed!

Skip the nativity, you will not regret it.

Horror stories?

It seems to have been other ones, sorry. Smoking elves, pissed Santa, a sea of mud, fake reindeer and the like! I looked up Lapland and trip advisor had a couple of bad reviews, but mostly good.

Sorry for making you flap!

Smartieiow · 10/11/2024 20:22

Go watch the nativity and sell me the tickets instead!!!

Please save my Christmas!!!
I am looking for 2 adults and 1 child ticket if anyone has any for sale? 🤞
