How much do I need to spend to get an iPad?

That's a reasonable model and won't start crashing really quickly because it can't update anymore?

Seeing them for £150 which I imagine is too cheap.

So what's the cheapest option for one (even a Mini one is fine)

Thanks so much for any advice!

Have a look at CEX, they will only sell them in good condition and as my DS1 is constantly pointing out, you get a 2 year warranty.
I'm not an Apple user, but they tend to last fairly well in terms of old ones still working.

Can get a new 2021 model in Curry’s for £299

That’s a 2020 model you’ve linked, refurbished. Could be perfect for you. I’d buy new if you can though as my parents have bought refurbished iPhone's in the past and they haven’t lasted long. Really depends on your available budget.

Actually, the 2021 model I linked is £279 at John Lewis.

Does it have to be an iPad? An Android tablet might be cheaper for similar spec, functionality, longevity etc.

I wouldn't go for anything earlier than 2021, primarily for security updates, software updates aren't as important.

You can get them in CEX, Hughes, i believe Argos also sells refurbished iPads. Also depends if you're looking for an iPad mini, Air, Pro...etc, for a 2022 mini I'd budget probably probably £130, for a normal 10'2, probably closer to £180

If you don't need it to be an actual i pad look at Doogee I recently bought one on amazon for less than £100 and its better than my i pad!
