Parent Council / PTA Bank Account

Wondering if any of you lovely people can help! I am treasurer for our Parent Council group and I got a letter from Bank of Scotland this morning saying they were going to move the account to be “community account” which will charge us £4.25 per month. Previously we were not being charged for the account that we had.We only really run a couple of events per year and would prefer to keep the money we raise for the school. Any recommendations of an account we could use for Parent Council?

Ours is with the Royal Bank of Scotland. Doesnt charge and earns a small amount of interest

NatWest have a clubs and community bank account which is free as well

Which community account will it be? The BOS website talks about free day to day banking so what will the charges be for?

Thanks to you both! I’ve applied for the RBS community account as I’m already a customer.

@dementedpixie BOS sent a letter saying they will move us now to a community account which will charge £4.25 a month. I guess it’s a new thing.
