I hate seeing my little girl sick

I've just got over a really nasty bit of flu. Now it's DDs turn (7.5 months). I just can't stand seeing her unwell, it breaks my heart. I know she'll be fine in a few days, and am grateful it is nothing serious, but I was not prepared for how much it hurts when there is nothing more I can do to help. She is dosed up on Calpol (which she has taken a fancy to) and is cuddled up with me now after having a little cry. I don't really know why I'm posting...just need a hand hold.

You're right, it's heartbreaking when they're so young. I remember the feeling of helplessness, just keep cuddling🙂

Oh, I totally feel you! It’s so tough seeing our little ones unwell, especially when we can’t do much but wait it out. You’re doing everything right though – plenty of cuddles and comfort go a long way. It's heartbreaking, but she'll be back to her happy self soon. Sending a big virtual hug your way – you’re not alone in this!

Thanks. I keep telling myself it's good that she's building up her immune system. It must be confusing being so little and not understanding why you feel terrible. We had a very disturbed night but the positive is lots of cuddles and snuggles.
