People with eyes that turn you to jelly?

I’m curious about this thing I’ve experienced and I’d love to hear theories about why it happens.
Have you ever met anyone whose eyes simply captivate you, in a split second, but you have no idea why?

Ha yeah I’ve only experienced it for the first time recently, it’s quite an unusual feeling. I wonder if it’s just I’ve met someone who is perhaps better than average at eye contact when lots of people maybe aren’t?

Yes, and he turned out to be a pathological liar a covert narc and all-round batshit person.

He could make me melt with one look - I suspect that’s part of the reason he managed to reel people in and manipulate them. We had a playlist and one of the songs I added was “Angel Eyes” by ABBA as it was so apt. I’m mid-40’s and I’ve never before or since met anyone who’s eyes had the power to reduce me to jelly. Unfair really!
