Party wall sound proofing in a new build?

I've just moved into a new build housing association semi detached a week ago with my family, the next door neighbours haven't moved in yet.
I'm a little bit worried about what the sound proofing will be like and have no way to tell until they move in.
The last place I lived the sound proofing was non existent and I could hear everything, so just a bit wary about this.
Would it be any better in a new build home? Are there regulations for party wall sound proofing for homes that are being built nowadays ?

I live in a fairly new home and my sound proofing is excellent. It's private rather than ha but the standards are the same

@mitogoshigg oh really? That's good to know. I wondered if because it's a HA house that maybe the sound proofing wouldn't be as good due to budget restraints etc
