Stolen cards etc - what did you do?

I had my purse and some other personal items stolen yesterday. I cancelled all cards immediately and reported it to local police but unsurprisingly they don’t think much will happen.

I’m worried about ID theft - my drivers licence and business cards were in there so they’d have my name, job, phone no, email etc. I’ve applied for a new licence and have been advised to set up fraud alerts on my Experian account, all of my social media is pretty tight.

Can anyone advise anything else I should do? Relieved not to have lost more but feel a bit shaken by it.

This happened to me last year.

If it is like mine, they wanted the cash and the bank cards nothing else

Sorry to hear that, hopefully the same for me - there was no cash apart from my trolley £1 so tough luck!

I hate thinking of someone with my things though even if they dont use the info for anything serious.

Sorry to hear that you had your bag stolen- it is quite alarming when you add up the cost of replacing everything.
I would probably change your passwords on any email/ accounts
Were there keys in your bag?
Don't forget clubcards etc

Luckily no keys and just a couple of cards - I keep most things on my phone which scares me when I think about losing that!
