Odd blood test results and night sweats

Hi all, hoping for some help with interpreting my blood test results. Been struggling with night sweats and a number of other weird symptoms for a few months and so the GP did a full blood count. Hormones and thyroid function are normal but my protein electrophoresis IgA and IgM counts came back high. Apparently the GP spoke to haematology and they said it’s nothing to worry about but I’m still struggling with night sweats, itchy skin and bruising easily. Anyone else had similar or have any idea what it could be? Thanks!

@MortgageQuestions22 did you ever get an answer go this ? Im having night sweats

MortgageQuestions22 · 12/01/2025 18:39

Never got to the bottom of it unfortunately. The night sweats aren’t so bad now it’s winter but I’m sleeping with a 2.5 tog duvet and have the odd night where I still wake up drenched. I’m 37 and although my hormone levels are apparently normal the GP suggested it could just be early days of peri-menopause? Really frustrating. Have you had any blood work done?

@MortgageQuestions22 exactly same as you although im 35 . Bloods all fine / Chest xray fine and even had a ct scan of chest and pelvis as i have had small swollen nodes under armpits for over a year . Scanned and told nothing sinister . Im same though , mine seem to come in clusters where ill be bad for a few weeks than nothing for a few weeks than bad again . I sleep naked too ! Very weird and not overweight /non smoker etc. What tests you have ?

Very similar, had a chest Xray to rule out TB and then more bloods to check for HIV etc which all came back clear. My only concern was the elevated immunoglobulin levels but apparently that was nothing to worry about?! Very frustrating as I’ve always run cold so this is really unusual for me. I’m interested to see what happens when the weather warms up and whether the night sweats will increase again. I did try tracking when it happens in my iPhone’s health app but couldn’t see much of a pattern. Maybe slightly more common in the week before my period. So for now I’m assuming it’s hormonal.
