DLA 2024 wait times

Hi guys I’m new on here scan date was 12/8 still waiting to hear from previous threads looks like a long wait I got a letter few weeks back saying 15 week wait is that an additional wait time or is it 15 more weeks to wait also do you think it’s different wait time in different areas

How do you know your scan date? My form reached them by recorded delivery on 22nd November, so in for a long wait!

If you ring them they will tell you when they logged It into system that what date they go by with the 20weeks I sent my forms signed for on the 9th they uploaded it to system 18th July and will make descion within 20 weeks which will take it to 5th December
It is long wait very stressing long wait lol

Sorry but u have a very long wait 😕 I've seen some scan date June which still haven't been awarded, but been doing this for years have 3 sen children so 🤷 I'm a veteran at all sen things 🤣

I have 3 days till it's been 20 weeks fingers crossed my sd date 18th July

Are renewals done quicker to coincide with the award end date? Really worried ours won’t be done in time otherwise as sent it back 10 weeks before award ends and the letter says up to 15 weeks but is that a generic letter are renewals on a different system and done in order ?

I added new circumstances in July and phoned last week. It's still not been looked at so I'm sending in more evidence as a lot has changed while we have been waiting. I hope I don't have appeal after all of this. Dd has never been on the right banding but I didn't fight it. Can't ignore it any more.

Got call 4th December off dm she has requested his sen report from school so got that 4th posted it signed for on the 4th shoukd be with them today once it's been signed for I'll ring them and let them know and to let dm know so fingers crossed her something before Xmas never had this before daughters was fast process no evidence just letter off lady who went put to school to see how she was i. School that's all I sent and was awdared within weeks...20 weeks is very long then if more Info needed more waiting

Our scan date was 15/08, we did a change of circumstances as our daughter turned 3 and we're hoping to get the higher mobility allowance so we can get a new adapted van through motability scheme, had the news yesterday our current car needs a part for £3,700 so hoping we get it through soon so we can get a new van instead of having to pay that much, 16 weeks today and hoping we don't hit trouble claiming as my daughter is completely immobile but under 5!

Mines 18th July 20 weeks today with dm she waiting for sen report iff school which sent off yesterday

HUGE UPDATE money has gone into my account 2nite, sd 25th July, so 19 weeks 4 days, I think based on the amount he's been awarded hrc & Lm as £2543 has gone in

We had a payment for renewal (gone from MRC to HRC and LRM) and it took 5 weeks

Yay, mine was a new claim never have i seen it take so long

Now dm has got the sen report case manager emailed her today to take look at it how long does it take has my descion woukd been made 4th Dec but needed this evidence for final descion now they have it scanned and dm been emailed it's there and to look at claim
Will I get descion this week do you think
Had nightmare getting the evidence royal mail lost 1st one so re sent it 4th got delivered today 8.33 am scanned on system 2.55pm sent to dm at 3pm to look at

Sd 28/8 just reached the 15 week mark

Think it maybe another month for you yet 😫

been a silent watcher. Confirmed scan date for my little boys claim was on 11th October 2024. (awaiting autism diagnosis, allergies, asthma and eczema) Hopefully not too much longer to wait as it has been 14 weeks now. I did receive a letter a few weeks ago saying to some effect that they are still investigating and apologising for the delay in decision time response. And that there is no need to contact them. It such a stress waiting but fingers crossed we get something even if if it is the lower component of care- will still be a sizeable backdated payment. I really should have applied for DLA for him 12 months ago but put it off. Doing the form was traumatic enough, my printer nearly gave up after the form and the photocopying evidence that was accumulated (I probably sent too much 2bf!)
Fingers crossed for everyone getting what the children deserve!
