What app to accept payments on your phone?

Hi, my DD is going to be selling biscuits for a school challenge. She has this plan of selling from our front yard, as it's on the way to an events venue and gets quite a bit of foot traffic.

The thing is, these days many people don't carry cash. I know you can accept payments on your phone with certain apps but I'm not sure it'll be cost-effective one you factor in transaction fees.

What do you think? Any ideas welcome.

I'd go with something like a QR code to a Monzo 'pay me' link (if you have Monzo!) or PayPal and then give the money to DD. You probably want it to be more informal than go for a proper business set up as it'll be pricey.

You can use the squareup app to take contactless payments on a phone. I'm not sure if you're able to set it up without business details but it'll be worth a quick Google.

Have a look at Zettle for PayPal. You might be able to set something up through that.

SumUp you can take payments with an iPhone. I’ve got their card reader but now people can literally just tap your phone. It’s so fast
