Trains to Cornwall in the summer

I’m not posting on Travel as I have no intention of doing the journey, but I’m curious.

How busy are the trains from London to Cornwall during the school summer holidays?

DH and I are on our way back from a weekend in Newquay and the train to Par was only 2 carriages.

Newquay to Par is a branch line, not a mainline so no, you won't get massive intercity trains on it.

They so put on more carriages and additional services for things like Boardmasters including trains from London etc.

The mainline trains to London are usually much longer, but we did only lose the slam door carriages a few years ago!

More sensible than Pembrokeshire then@ButtSurgery . They never put on extra carriages.
