Le Creuset - ever on sale?

I'm looking to purchase a cast iron casserole type dish for someone. It has to be Le Creuset simply because they have always wanted one. Shocked to see them closer to £300. Do they ever go on sale? Doesn't need to be huge, enough for 2.

Tk Maxx often has different pieces of it in stores

QVC sometimes have offers, especially leading up to Christmas.

Keep looking in John Lewis sometimes they have 20% off.
Very also stock it now it's full price but at least you have 12 months interest free to pay.

There are quite a few factory outlet stores too.

Outlet at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth if you're anywhere near?

Amazon prime day

Yes, there's the outlets but often they are no cheaper than the stores. I agree that John Lewis or a proper kitchen shop lights Harts of Stur are your best bet.

TKmaxx doesn't have cast iron. They have le crueset stonewear that's made for TK Maxx.

Look for your closest factory outlet store. We bought two oven dishes a few month ago at our local for €65, instead of almost €200 rrp

I'm guessing that you're in the UK but if you ever decide to take a trip to Ireland, pop down to the Kildare Village Outlet where there is a Le Creuset shop there and you might be lucky to visit at a time where there are large reductions in price.

Another vote for the Outlets! We have a few nearby (London/Herts) and it's pretty dangerous 😂

@FeatherBoat thank you for that explanation! I brought one from TXMaxx 10 years ago for around £8 (long before I knew the difference between cast iron/stoneware, or anything about the brand ~ I was a student!), lost it and was quite surprised at the price when I wandered into an outlet one day! I've always just assumed I got the deal of a century 😂

WildCherryBlossom · 14/10/2024 13:37

Agree with pp who suggested John Lewis. Sporadically they have a 20% off. I've bought a couple of (tiny) pieces with that deal. And daydream about one day adding a big casserole to the collection.

Also an outlet in Clarkes village in Somerset
