What things did you never think you'd hear yourself saying

Following yesterday's "Nooooo, don't put the poo in your mouth!" episode (I'll say no more), today, I found myself calling out to the lady at the top of some steps at Stratford tube station (I was stuck at the bottom with a pushchair having just gone down the manual lift that takes approximately 36 hours to operate) "Excuse me, can you see a giraffe up there?" Thankfully, she did see a giraffe and proceeded to throw it in my direction over a sea of heads, completely oblivious as they hurried towards the platform. Just a side note to say I caught said giraffe with one hand 😉. Sophie Giraffe was returned to my DD who didn't even notice she had fallen from her clutches.

So there are my two from the last two days. Since becoming a parent I find myself saying the most bizarre combination of words. What are you "I can't believe I just said that" moments?

"Limp faster, you old bastard! I need a wee!" - today, to my DH who has a limp following an old injury, and walks with a cane on occasion. He's also not old at 40, and I promise he cackled when I made both comments. 🤣
