1980s - Pirate Board game -name??

Can anyone remember the name of a board game we played in the early 80s, in primary school?
Game was about a pirate ship, players collected cards with treasure- rubies, sapphires, emeralds.
Loved it! I've searched on Ebay with no luck.

Was it Buccaneer? I remember playing it with the neighbours children in the 80's.

Buccaneer. I loved that as a kid so sought out a vintage box on eBay so I could introduce my kids - they couldn't be less interested ☹️

Yes definitely Buccaneer. We still play it occasionally. I always loved the little wooden barrels when I was a child in the 60s

My favourite board game. I was the youngest when we got it and accidentally won it the first time we played because everyone ignored me meandering about the sea.
