Where to get a cheap run around

DS’s girlfriend’s car has massively failed its MOT and is not worth repairing. Where is a good place for here to look for a cheap little car. She hasn’t much money and may need finance. Is Cinch or car warehouse type places worth looking at or should she got to a garage? Not sure what to advise her.

Are there any businesses in the family? You can then register for an auction where you can get amazing deals.

No businesses unfortunately

for that budget i’d ask for local independent garage recommendations and go from there - if you speak to them and tell them type of car and budget they will often source one for you at auction but you need a trustworthy garage

Facebook marketplace. Great for cheap cars. Private sellers and traders and a good filter to narrow down what you are looking for

Yes I agree and think she is going to need some sort of finance to get something better but not sure how much she can afford each month

You're not going to get a lot for <£1000, but download the Autotrader app. It's very good.
