Slow cooker and winter warmer recipes please!

Good morning.
This will be the first winter I'm back at work, and I don't get home until 7, 3 times a week.

Is it safe to leave the slow cooker on when there is nobody in the house?

If so, could I have some chicken and vegetarian recipes please!

Also, what do you do for your teenagers who get home from school before you've finished work? My dd seems to make herself air fryer chips, and eat crisps mostly.

Any tips welcome, as I loathe making food when I get home.

Vegan slow cooker recipes are bonus too. I'm the only vegan in the house so I find myself having toast when I get home.

Hi,
I love using the slow cooker in the winter. I leave mine on when I go out , if it isn’t safe I’ve been doing it for years (oops)
I only manage basic meals 😂 but a good website is jadesbites if you Google it, she’s doing a slow cooker series just now, some really good stuff. You can also do slow cooker lasagne, casserole etc.

If your slow cooker doesn't have a timer just attach it to a smart plug so you can turn it off if you wish.

Chicken curry, chicken casserole, chicken fajita mix.
Veggie chilli, bolognese.

Look up the website taming twins - their slow cooker recipes are the BEST!

For easy teenager meals - I often marinate chicken and peppers for example. Freeze in single person portions.
Take out in the morning if they plan to eat that evening. And they can just grill on George Forman type grill, it’s as easy as using a toaster. Add microwave rice.

Thank you everyone! Great suggestions.

Hopefully it'll make life a bit easier
