Is what you write in this box taken into account at all?
We are applying out of catchment for year 7 next year, but we will put our catchment school as our third choice so he doesn’t end up being allocated a school miles away.
DS has a diagnosis of ADHD and autism but no EHCP and we won’t be able to apply on medical grounds. However, DH and I feel that he would do better at a smaller school, and the one we prefer has a better SEN provision (in our view).
Because all schools have an SEN provision, in theory his needs should be able to be met at the catchment school, so on paper it really is about our preference.
Is it worth making any kind of case in that ‘Other reasons’ box?
