What's that smell from university/conference rooms?

There is this very clean and fresh smell that all universities/conference rooms I walked in have. Sometimes airports and hotel corridors too.
I can't pinpoint what it is exactly. How do they make the floor smell so good?

I don't know, but I agree.

I’m an academic and none of my lecture theatres smell like this. At this time of year it’s more wet coats, homesickness and Lynx Africa.
