Tinder verification but I’m not on Tinder

Was at work today and got a text message from Tinder with a” this is a verification code- do not share “ message.
I’m not on Tinder. I’ve never been on Tinder. I’ve been in a relationship with DP for the last 14 yrs!
What on Earth? I’ll have some explaining to do if DP sees my phone!!!
Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I going to start getting messages?! I’m a bit worried that someone has set up a fake profile in my name

Someone signing up for bit has probably typed their phone number incorrectly and typed yours instead.

Most likely a scam. I get emails supposedly from Tinder, saying I have a match etc. I have never had a Tinder account! It's the same type of scam as receiving a text saying you have missed a delivery from Royal Mail, and you need to enter your details. Delete the message and don't give it another thought.

I don’t think so. Anyway - he is the least techie person I know! He’s not cheating but if he was it definitely wouldn’t be through an online site! Anyway he was in a meeting with his boss at the time so I don’t think he was signing on to Tinder in the middle of that!!
