8 month old won't drink water

I'm struggling to get DD whose 8 1/2 months to drink water out of a sippy cup or at all. When she does get water out of it she makes a face and won't have anymore and just wants to play with the cup. Does anyone have any suggestions to help or should I just keep offering it to her until she eventually uses it?

She is currently formula fed if that helps.

TIA x

If she's still having milk then she doesn't need much water. At this stage it's about getting used to the cup so just taking sips is ok

Mine only wanted water from a teaspoon to start with! But she will be getting plenty of hydration from her formula so don’t worry

She doesn't need water if drinking milk.

Mine was like this and I panicked and end up giving her diluted juice- but I think I should have just persevered with the water, I did with my 2nd and she drank water fine eventually.
The don't really need much water at that age because they're still having quite a lot of milk, it's more about getting her used to water and drinking from a cup

Ps is she breastfed? Because my youngest had never had a bottle when I introduced a cup and she couldn't get the hang of it but y HV suggested a straw cup which is apparently easier for EBF babies, and it was better for her
