Why do I need glass cups for expresso/cappucino?

I am thinking about buying this machine. I notice in the video (if you scroll through pictures) that he uses glass cups:

I haven’t had good experiences with glass mugs (maybe Irish coffees? Ouchy hot knuckles), but I am wondering, if I just order cappuccino mugs, will I be missing out on a better flavour experience or something?

If I have to have glass, please feel free to make recommendations! Tyia.

It's to show the texture of the coffee in the advert - you can use any cup!

Huh! Nothing to do with getting better heat in glass then?

No, it’s just for the ad!

If you have double walled glass cup (like these for example) that will help it lose heat less quickly, and glass and thin china tends to heat up faster than thicker earthenware type material so takes less heat from the drink. PP is right that the reason it’s in the ad is you can see the drink and they look sleek and modern which fits with Sage’s vibe. The best mug is one you like to drink from, there’s not a wrong option! My favourite flat white mug is a small Emma Bridgewater one.
