How to access photos on this old laptop

Hi, the laptop is probably around 20 years old. It turns on fine, the only problem is none of the little icons load so there is nothing to press on . Is there anyway to get photos off this laptop?

Have you tired booting into safe mode? Google the laptop manufacturer and model to see how.

Its acer but how do i find out the model?

You can take the hard drive out the machine, put it in a caddy and use it as external hard drive
