What do you do with your kids after school/nursery?

Hi all

I'm just wondering if I'm bad here but I pick my DS aged 3 from the childminder around 5pm. We then come home and have dinner, that's usually done but 6pm. He doesn't go to bed until 7:30pm so I'm just wondering what sort of things do other parents do during that time?

We watch a bit of TV or play hide and seek/games etc. Every other night is bath night so that can take up a chunk of time.

I'm wondering whether I should be doing more with him. I feel guilty that I've not seen him all day but also realise we don't have much time before bed so it's not like I can take him out.

Just curious what others do.

Tv

They have a bath at around half six, then read, then bed at around half seven.

I used to do pick up every day from school so unless the weather was terrible we went to the park every day after school.
Then home. They would watch tv while I cooked dinner. Then we would eat together.
Then reading books, chat, etc
Bath, story, bed.

Since starting pre-school in September, nothing! She's exhausted, it's as much as we can do to get home before she falls asleep.

With my older ones, we eventually started a few extracurricular clubs (Rainbows, swimming class, musical instrument, dance class), but at age 3 it was just get through the school day then relax.
