Lottery Set For Life daydreaming / manifesting

Ok you’ve just won £10,000 per month for the next 30 years. What’s the plan? I always dreamed of Euro Millions or Lotto jackpot and whilst that would be incredible, I do get excited at the prospect of winning Set For Life equally as much. It makes Mondays more bearable anyway.

This is my plan- keep working for the first few months to have a sizeable savings pot. Then both myself and DP will use £5k to replace our salaries this would cover a mortgage payment too. I’m giving £1k to my sister so her and her partner can pay towards a mortgage, I think £1k split into savings for my nieces and nephew. The other £3k will be saved to be used for investments.

DP and I will work together on pushing our joint business further we’re both creatives so having time to properly explore our potential would be amazing, I think we would relish not working our current full time jobs, instead having the time to visit family, travel and enjoy life.

What are you doing? Is my plan a good use of the money? Clearly I’ve thought about this a lot.

I'd quit my job, I assume dh would want to stay working initially at least. I'd book a holiday, have a lovely Xmas and then be sensible about working on/ extending the house and think about over paying the mortgage vs moving. I'd get a personal trainer and some new clothes. Spend some money on nice things for the house then plan some more nice holidays. Know you can try and help family when needed.

I'm very boring but I've got a son in year 12 who wants to go to university so the next couple of years would be setting enough aside to cover all his costs.
Then I'd focus on paying off my mortgage and seting aside a decent amount for retirement. I probably wouldn't give up work tbh but would be aiming to retire earlier and more comfortably than I would otherwise have done.

I would leave my marriage. I'm not happy but leaving would mean a change in lifestyle. I'd like to keep working as it's important for my sense of purpose.

Im a sahm so no job to quit. I wouldn't move house. I'd use the money to slowly do it up and decorate. I'd also over pay on the mortgage. It's fairly small anyway. I'd go on holiday every time the kids were off school. I'd also do my entire weekly shop in M&S! Oh and have loads of beauty treatments

I would save it up to buy an Airbnb property!

Ahh yes, I think I would rather win this than the actual lottery. Feels more manageable I think.

My plan is to spend a couple of months having fun and then we would spend the next 2 years putting it all away in savings to pay off the mortgage.

Once that's done we would enjoy a couple of years of great holidays/house improvements etc until we both take early retirement and DH would set up his dream job/hobby.

And I would probably volunteer at and contribute monthly to a local animal charity.

I would buy a house and take a mortgage for 5-7 years and pay 7/8k into the mortgage a month, with the other 2k a month I would half between savings for my DS & holiday funds, we would both keep working for the 6/7 years then once the mortgage was paid off we could give up work/ go part time, using half the money for bills/holidays the other half to help family.

I’m still working. I earned £5k now. So it would be £15k per month. I will put my boys to private school. Pay off both of my mortgages. And buy another small flat in london to rent out.

short term i will Buy 2023 defender car and go to miami to visit my sister will my family, flight in business.

but i will keep my job.
