Why are hairdryers such a stupid design?

Why do they put the buttons exactly where your fingers need to grip the handle?

Trying to buy a new one and they're all the bloody same 😫

I have this one, good power and the controls slide so you don’t press buttons accidentally while holding it! www.argos.co.uk/product/4435073?clickPR=plp:11:74&_gl=1zfo92r_upMQ.._gaNjM0NTY5MjYxLjE3MjgzMzI2NDI._ga_JWCPD5SJK1*MTcyODMzMjY0MS4xLjAuMTcyODMzMjY0MS4wLjAuMA..

Thanks @MiddleAgedDread - I did look at this one and liked that it was a slider rather than a button. Is it powerful? My hair is thick and takes a while to dry.

have you looked at Parlux? It what all the better hairdressers I know use. I love mine. Dries my thick hair very quickly. They are not the cheapest. But my current one is 12 years old..

Timely thread! I need a new one. The more powerful the better. I'm similar to you OP. Hate a dryer where you feel it'd be more effective having someone blowing on your hair.

I've got a Dyson it's really good.

MiddleAgedDread · 07/10/2024 21:49

Yes I have pretty thick hair too. We have GHD ones at work and whilst they’re quite powerful they’re so heavy I find them really hard to use. I wasn’t impressed with the Dyson I tried, it was no better than that one and the price is staggering.

Pls look at the power of parlux v Dyson etc
